Happy Midsummer, people! With the advent of summertime in the northern hemisphere and a bigger heatwave on Singapore, it means there's some things being lined up here in our sunny little island!
First of all, there is a workshop being conducted with MOVE! Community. This is an introductory workshop designed within the LGBTQ community in Singapore, so if you're looking to take your first tap class ever, while also exploring how gays, lesbians and transgenders are like in Singapore, this is the place to go! It's happening on July 25, and the location is yet to be confirmed. So stick around for updates on the Facebook events page!
On another note, there will be a collaboration happening between yours truly and BEATA'BOX for a workshop, but the details are also being discussed at the moment.
If you're looking to visit our neighbours, RONxII and Ton Tomomi will be conducting intermediate to advanced tap workshops in Malaysia for almost an entire day on the 27th of September. More details can be found on this Facebook post on our Tap Jam Singpaore group! Be sure to register early to grab your spot and to ensure that the workshops go on! It's a rare opportunity for tap masters from Japan to pay use ASEANs a visit.
Furthermore, if you'd like to go up north towards Hong Kong, Rhythm & Tempo is organising the Hong Kong Tap Festival from 18 to 26 of September, and their lineup can be found on their Facebook page as well. Seeing that it's taking place in autumn, it'll be a nice getaway from the hot weather in Singapore!
What are you looking forward to in the upcoming months?
